On Sunday August 29th, Hurricane IDA hit Louisiana with strong winds that have damaged homes, flooded some roads around New Orleans, and has taken down all 8 transmission lines that delivers the electrical power into New Orleans metro.  It could take 3-6 weeks to get electrical power restored to the area.
