You Will Have What You Say

Mark 11:22-23, “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them (he will have what he says).

In Mark 11, Jesus was telling His disciples how to get results in life against challenges. He told them to speak to their mountains (challenges) and command them to be removed. The Greek even says at the beginning of the passage, “have the ‘God-kind’ of faith” instead of “have faith in God.”  So, paraphrasing, Jesus told His disciples, deal with your problems like God deals with His – act like your Dad and tell your problems to move.”

So, now we know how to deal with our problems once they’ve formed.  However, we often don’t realize that the same system that cures our problems probably created them.  Jesus told His disciples at the end of verse 23, paraphrased, “What you say is what you get when you believe what you say…”  HE DIDN’T SAY “ONLY IF IT’S GOOD.”  Oh, how wonderful it would have been if He had said, “only the good stuff will happen no matter what you say.”  He said, “if you speak, and doubt not in your heart, then you will have what you say.”  We often call things into our lives because we believe them and speak them.  How many times have we said in a week, “I’m so tired,” “I feel like I’m about to be sick,” “I’m so stupid,” etc.? We believe things, we speak them, and we receive the fruit of what we are saying. We will have what we say.  That is why it is so important for us to speak life, to declare what God says about us, and to believe it with our hearts.  Start today saying new things, better things, higher things.  Don’t let your words ever set you, your loved ones, or your church on a course to destruction.  You will have what you say…

Let’s say some things now:

In the name of Jesus, I am more than a conqueror. In the name of Jesus, all my needs are met.In the name of Jesus, I prosper and I am in health even as my soul prospers. In the name of Jesus, I walk in health and healing. In the name of Jesus, I am forgiven, and I walk in all the benefits of forgiveness.

It's time for us to start saying these things and more over our family, churches, etc.

The Word Works, & It's All You Need

The Word of God works and it is all you need… Scripture isn’t just given to us so that we can sit around, read it, think about God, and then move on with our day.  God gave us scripture so that we can
